How to get a St Lucia passport?

By investment. The fastest way to obtain citizenship of St Lucia is by investment. The process takes 3—4 months and the procedure is simplified. Investors are not required to live in St Lucia or take a language proficiency test. 

Besides the investor their spouse, children, parents and siblings can also participate in the application for the St Lucia passport by investment. 

There are four investment options and the investor can choose one of them:

  • $100,000 or more — non-refundable contribution: contribution must be made to the National Economic Fund of St Lucia and the sum of it depends on the size of the investor’s family;
  • $200,000 or more — real estate purchase: the sum of investment in real estate doesn’t depend on the size of the family; an investor can sell the property 5 years later and return the money;
  • $300,000 or more — government bonds purchase: investors can return invested money 5 years later; the family composition doesn’t matter;
  • $1,000,000 or more — business investment: if you invest in the business alone, the minimum sum of money is $3,500,000; there is also possible to invest $6,000,000 in a group — this way the minimum share of each participant is $1,000,000.

Citizenship is not the only way to obtain St Lucian citizenship. There are others such as:

  • by birth: a person born to a couple in which at least one person is St Lucia citizen can obtain citizenship by birth; 
  • by marriage: a person can get St Lucia citizenship if one marries a St Lucia citizen;
  • by naturalisation: individuals can obtain citizenship by naturalisation if they live in St Lucia for several years and also pass language proficiency tests.
